Our timeline was a bit messed up, but it’s worked for us.
He moved in before we started dating (needed a place to stay, I had a couch).
We started dating shortly after that.
Got engaged about a year and a half later.
Had an 18 month engagement (not by choice – the place I had my heart set on booked out 18 months in advance and wasn’t even a guarantee until 12 months – we changed our wedding date 3 times between 18 months and 12 months before it got locked in without us being bumped).
We’ve been married for 4 years now, but of course most of you know our story!
